Tayronas Bay-Wind Project includes approximately ( 55 ) acres of flat terrain covered with lush vegetation with (550 meters) sandy beachfront and it is intersected by the gentle JOBA River.

It is located 3 km. east of Gaspar Hernandez on the beautiful Dominican Republic's North Coast along the main highway to SAMANA ,aprox.30 minutes from PUERTO PLATA Intercontinental Airport .

The scenic highway passes through the famous resort town of SOSUA and the world's windsurfing Paradise of CABARETE) and it connects to several first class tourist developments and the two famous golf courses of Playa Dorada and Playa Grande (R. Trent Jones designs )

The property has ample fresh water and it is connected to tap water and electrical power facilities, easily expandable .The site topology makes it ideal for a resort development with a potential for fresh and sea water marinas, and several sports facilities like tennis, biking, horse riding ,etc, as well as ample space for hotels (400 rooms) and/or condominiums and villas.

The Pilot Project designed by De' NOTE ( Paris) is just an idea of the site potential and it can be adapted to any developer's ideas making full use of the site's natural beauty and ecological conditions, that could make it ideal for an eco-tourism development.

The PHASE-1 Preliminary Project Plot Plan (see) corresponds to the project for a Gated Community comprising (16) lots on the S-E corner of the (located between the river and the highway, with boat docks and a bridge or river crossing to the Beach Club that will be built on the N-E corner.
This Project is being submitted for approval, and the VILLAS to be built there, could be integrated with the future HOTELS to be developed, but this COMMUNITY will have all the necessary facilities and public areas ,etc to operate independently.

The future access to the HOTELS and VILLAS on the beach, is projected on the extreme S-E corner, outside the gated area of this PHASE-1 development

Works for the new International Airport at NAGUA (near SAMANA) have been in progress since early 2001 and it is expected to be ready by the end of 2003
On February 2002,the Concession and Construction Contract with CONSORCIO VIAL DEL NORDESTE for the new 120 km highway STO.DOMINGO-SAMANA was approved by the DR Parliament ,and the ground-braking ceremony for this important project that will shorten the traveling time to 1½ hours, took place last April/02,with expected completion time of (3) years

Another tourist boat docking project has been recently announced for development in PTO.PLATA and a similar project has been under construction in SAMANA
